Cuminum Cyminum L.  Cumin is an annual herb from the Apiaceae family. It grows to about 30 cm tall in sunny places and has thin ‘branches’ of fine leaves.  Small white or pink umbelliferous flower.  The seeds can be harvested when they start to change color. Cumin should be dried before use in a dry, airy place. The whole seed should be roasted and crushed  at the moment of use to obtain the full aroma. Used to flavor sausage, soup, salsa, and cheese plates.  Traditionally uses as an antimicrobial and a mild stimulant.  10 gram pack.
